Installing Datawise
Go to the Raiser’s Edge NXT environment and search for Datawise by Sagacity add-in in the Blackbaud marketplace.
Then on the overview page of the application, click on Connect.
Note: When the application is not on the marketplace yet, you can connect to the application via the Client ID of the application. You can do this by going to the Marketplace and then clicking on the tab ‘Manage’ and ‘Connect app’. Fill in the Client ID of the application: f12dfa5e-e9a04f21bb46740a20a6adfd here and click on ‘Connect’.
Now go back to ‘Home’ in the Raiser’s Edge NXT environment and you can view the newly added “Sagacity Data Cleanse” tile there.
Important Note:
The app will try to mark constituents that it recognizes to have changed by setting the value of a Constituent attribute. This attribute should have a key (description) of “Sagacity - Status”, it should be created with the type ‘Table’. If this attribute key is defined within your Raiser’s Edge.Nxt database, it will be set on each detected change on the constituent with one of the following possible values:
Please be careful to use exactly the values as stated.
This allows you to query for changed records. Ask your dba to add this attribute and the table entries specified above to your Raiser’s Edge NXT environment. If you have the attribute defined, records will be marked and you can query on them. If you don’t have them defined, the system will continue running but will not mark your records.
Please take note that when records are moved, they will be modified to use the "UK" abbreviation by default in Raiser's Edge. However, if this default is not applied correctly during the initial process, addresses cannot be updated. In such an instance, Sagacity will contact your organization to rectify these changes.
Authorize Datawise
To connect to the application, you then needs to click on ‘Authorize’. The customer will then get sent to the authorization page to authorize.
When the app has been authorized, the add-in shows the following message
