Open Filezilla     1. Open the site manager.          Add dex.readgroup.co.uk in to the site manager     1. Select "New Site"  2. Name it dex.readgroup.co.uk  3. Add the host name dex.readgroup.co.uk  4. Select "SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol" from the "Protocol" drop down  5. Select "Login Type" as "Normal"  6. Add your user name  7. Add your password  8. Hit "Connect"           Trust the host key     1.The first time you log in you will get this warning put a tick in the "Always trust this host" box  2. Hit "OK"           Start to move your files     You should now have access to upload and download files if you need any assistance with this  please ask a colleague or check out http://wiki.filezilla-project.org/Using           Next time you need to use Filezilla     1. Next time you need to access dex.readgroup.co.uk when you start filezilla use the drop down  next to site manager and this will allow you to get to the site with your saved details you set up  previously. 

Request a new password for dex.readgroup.co.uk 1. From dex.readgroup.co.uk enter your "Login id"  2. Select "Recover Password" 3. Click "OK" 4. If successful you will get a confirmation message 5. Check your email for the new information If you don't get the email within a few minutes please check your spam or junk filters. To change your password Once logged in, go to the top right corner and select the key icon  1. Add your current password 2. Add a new password and verify it 3. Click "OK" 4. You will get a successful message if it has accepted your password

All data files downloaded from the DEX platform are compressed and encrypted using AES 256. You will not be able to extract the data from the file using the builtin Microsoft Windows compression tool. Please use a suitable solution like winzip or the free 7zip (http://www.7-zip.org/download.html) or any other tool that can open the file type mentioned above. If you are a Mac user we would recommend the free application IZIP http://www.izip.com/  Please see the attached for instructions on how to extract our files using 7zip. Login using the credentials you have been given. Select "Upload" Select "Choose File" Select the file you want to upload and hit "Open" The file should should now show next to "Choose File" and you can hit "Upload" You will now see "Upload in progress". Your document has been uploaded.
